“We’re giving creators total control, from part selection to presentation, all without needing a warehouse or mold,” said Peter Friedfeld, VP of Business Development at TPI. This new approach embodies the company’s mantra: Design it. Visualize it. Print it. Wear it.
The TPI Design Gallery introduces a new standard in eyewear creation. This online design tool enables real-time customization of shapes, textures, and materials, eliminating the need for CAD expertise. Integrated virtual try-on enables the instant fitting of frames on digital models, with automatic pupillary distance adjustment. Meanwhile, the AI-powered photoshoot generator creates brand-ready lifestyle images without the need for physical prototypes or traditional studio shoots. This significantly reduces the product development cycle while minimizing waste and inventory.
Visitors at Silmo Paris will experience firsthand how the new platform enables creators to preview designs directly on real faces in motion, simulating style, fit, and proportion before any production takes place. “Try it before you print it” is no longer a concept but a reality, saving time, cost, and resources while offering unmatched design freedom
In collaboration with Liq Eyewear, TPI is also showcasing its AI Photoshoot Tool, which instantly produces campaign visuals that look as if they were created in a professional studio. This feature enables brands to launch collections more quickly while maintaining a polished, premium look for marketing and e-commerce purposes.

TPI is also pushing eyewear beyond fashion with its Smart Temple Integration. The company’s modular temple system and 3D printed casings are engineered for seamless integration of electronics. This allows eyewear to deliver open-ear audio, offering a listening experience comparable to premium earbuds while keeping the ear free. Designers can bring connected eyewear concepts to life with complete creative control, combining aesthetics with world-class technology.
Production is handled entirely on-demand, using HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology in both mono- and full-color. Designers can select from TPI’s expanding parts library, which includes fronts, hinges, nose pads, and temples in either metal or 3D printed form. This modular approach eliminates molds, reduces costs, avoids excess stock, and ensures sustainable manufacturing.

At Silmo Paris 2025, TPI will also highlight several collection spotlights and private label projects developed in collaboration with notable partners, including EveryWear, Riccardo Cervio, Jos Baijens, Liq Eyewear, RAYDIANT, and Monarc Optic. These collaborations demonstrate the creative potential unlocked by digital design and additive manufacturing.
The new TPI Design Gallery marks a significant shift in eyewear design. It is designed to simplify and accelerate the process of creating, testing, marketing, and selling eyewear for brands and designers. Whether launching a single custom frame, an entire line, or exploring wearable technology with the smart temple solution, TPI enables a process that is faster, smarter, more sustainable, and—perhaps most importantly—more fun. By removing traditional supply chain barriers, TPI enables the transformation of ideas into products without waste, inventory, or upfront risk.
